Ruchi Gunewardene

Ruchi founded STING Consultants 15 years ago and then established a joint venture with Brand Finance UK in 2005 to set up Brand Finance Lanka – a boutique valuation and strategy firm.

STING Consultants and Brand Finance Lanka are Sri Lanka’s ONLY focused and exclusive strategic marketing and brand consulting firms. Having worked on over 150 assignments over the last 15 years he has wide experience in many sectors including : business to business, consumer, corporate, industry bodies.

Ruchi earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Biology from the University of Bath UK and trained in marketing with Reckitt & Colman and GSK Consumer Division. He also worked in advertising with JWT.

Before setting up his consultancy he worked for The Coca-Cola Company where he spent 10 years at regional and country management level. He was in the senior management team of Coca-Cola South East and West Asia Division which was headquartered in Thailand.
