David is the CEO and founder of Brand Finance plc.
David qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London and has worked in the area of branded business, brand and intangible asset valuation since 1991. He’s also a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing.
He is a highly sought after expert and speaker on brand and intangible asset valuations. He is often called upon to be the expert witness in many complex cases related to valuations involving tax and related matters.
Prior to Brand Finance, David led the London-based global brand valuation practice at Interbrand, leaving in 1996 to launch Brand Finance.
He was the head of delegation for the British Standards Institute on the International Standards Committee working party on the standardisation of brand valuation and evaluation methods and practices, whose standard on monetary brand valuation (ISO 10668) was published in 2010.
