Aliakber Alihussain

Aliakber is the Valuation Manager at Brand Finance and has seven years’ experience in Valuations, Financial Reporting, Analysis, ERP implementation, and Tax.

As a Valuation Manager of Brand Finance, he leads a team of Analysts in carrying out intangible and enterprise valuations, performing market research analysis and determination of royalty rates for various sectors. Also, he shepherds the annual publication of “Sri Lanka 100” whilst supporting the Brand Finance UK office in the Global 500 valuations of the most powerful and valuable brands.

Before joining Brand Finance, Aliakber worked for one of the largest tea exporting company in Sri Lanka during a time the company implemented SAP Business One. Before that, Aliakber gained experience working in Canada for one of the largest regional audit firms and a startup oil & gas company, for which he was involved in the process of the eventual sale to a large oil & gas company.

Aliakber is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from Canada. Also, he has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Management and currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
